Why it’s different
The difference shows up in three places.
Every exterior door we supply has a thermal break in the sill. That stops the cold transfer at floor level — no meaningful heat loss or interior condensation at the bottom of the door, the way a typical North American entry without this detail suffers.
Three-point locking is standard across the residential line. Top, middle, and bottom hooks engage when you throw the deadbolt, pulling the door into the frame at three locations, not one. Forced-entry resistance and weather sealing both improve.
EPDM gasket on the perimeter, not foam strip. EPDM holds its compression set over decades. Foam compresses and stops sealing in a few seasons.
Statement entries
The aluminum PIVOT system runs the rotation axis off-center instead of on the hinge edge. The door rotates around a central pivot point top and bottom.
The visual: oversized doors with no visible hinge hardware on the swing side. Doors can run wider and taller than a conventional hinged setup before the hardware becomes a structural problem.
The hardware: concealed top and bottom pivots rated for heavy slab weights. Frame depth 77 mm, 3-chamber thermal break, Ud above 0.73 W/(m²K).

The MB-78EI system delivers EI30 to EI60 fire-rated aluminum door assemblies. 78 mm thermally-broken aluminum profiles. Fire-rated glazing options. Intumescent and ceramic seals that swell on heat to block fire and smoke transfer.

PVC entry doors in the IGLO line cover three thermal performance tiers. The IGLO EDGE door, built on the 82 mm profile with 7-chamber frame and 6-chamber sash, delivers Ud = 0.81 W/(m²K) with triple EPDM gasket sealing. The IGLO ENERGY door uses the same 82 mm platform with a 5-chamber sash at Ud = 0.80 W/(m²K). The IGLO 5 door, at 70 mm build depth with a 5-chamber frame, hits Ud = 1.0 W/(m²K) at a value price point appropriate for secondary entries and accessory dwelling units. All PVC doors include 3-point locking, aluminum threshold with thermal break, and Ug = 0.5 to 1.1 W/(m²K) glazing depending on configuration.
Aluminum entry doors are built on Aluprof MB-series platforms. The MB-86N SI door uses the 77 mm thermal-break aluminum system with hidden hinges available for flush-panel construction, RAL 7016 and 9016 matte finish standard, and Ud = 0.83 W/(m²K). The MB-79N SI+ door at 70 mm hits Ud = 0.85 W/(m²K) and supports single or double leaf configurations. The MB-70HI and MB-70 systems serve standard aluminum entry applications. The MB-45 system is intended for interior partitions, vestibules, and storefronts that don’t require thermal break. The D-ART Line door delivers modern hidden-hinge aesthetics at 77 mm depth and Ud = 0.83. The PIVOT system rotates on offset-axis pivots rather than side hinges, supporting large-format statement entries with Ud above 0.73 W/(m²K) and concealed hardware capable of carrying heavy slab weights. The MB-78EI fire-rated system delivers EI30 to EI60 fire resistance with intumescent and ceramic seals, fire-rated glazing, and 78 mm thermally-broken profiles.
Timber doors in the SOFTLINE 68/78/88 series use three-layer laminated wood at the three build depths. Performance ranges from Ud = 1.1 at 68 mm to Ud = 0.85 W/(m²K) at 88 mm. Aluminum thermal-break threshold is standard across all three depths. Glazing from Ug = 0.5 to 1.1 W/(m²K). Available with translucent and opaque finishes for residential, historic, and high-end traditional projects.
