D-ART Line Entry Door

D-ART Line is a thermally-broken aluminum entry door system designed around concealed (hidden) hinges as the standard hardware configuration. The system uses 77 mm build depth aluminum profiles with 3-chamber thermal break geometry and a thermal insulation insert in the slab core to achieve Ud = 0.83 W/(m²K).

The concealed hinge mechanism is the defining feature. Unlike standard butt hinges that mount partially exposed on the hinge edge of the slab, concealed hinges mortise entirely into the slab edge and the frame, with no hinge hardware visible from either face or the edge when the door is closed. The mechanism is a multi-link linkage that allows the same swing arc as a butt hinge plus a small amount of translation during opening — the geometric requirement for the concealed mounting.

The structural body uses extruded aluminum profiles with a polyamide multi-chamber thermal break and a thermal insulation insert (foam or honeycomb core) in the slab. The 2 EPDM seal configuration includes interior and exterior perimeter gaskets. The aluminum threshold with thermal break strip is standard across the aluminum entry door line.

Thermal performance of Ud = 0.83 W/(m²K) is competitive with the MB-86N SI premium aluminum door (same Ud). The two differ in hardware philosophy and slab construction rather than thermal performance: D-ART Line is engineered around hidden hinges as standard, while MB-86N SI offers them as an option for flush-panel configurations.

Slab configurations include flush panel (the clean uninterrupted face that defines the aesthetic), standard panel with grooves and inlays, slab with integrated handle pull or bar handle, slab with side or top window glazing, and custom cladding (wood veneer, stone, composite). Color options include over 200 RAL colors in matte and gloss powder coat, anodized finishes for coastal applications, and wood-grain decorative coatings on selected colors.

Hardware includes 3-point multi-point locking, hidden hinges (standard, with heavy-duty variants for oversized slabs), aluminum handle, and mounting cylinder. Smart lock and electronic strike systems are available, with bar handles, integrated pulls, and custom door pulls for modern aesthetics. Glazing where included uses double-pane argon IGUs at Ug = 1.1 W/(m²K) with triple-pane upgrade at Ug = 0.5 W/(m²K).

Application range is contemporary custom residential primary front entries, premium multi-family penthouse and townhouse entries, modern luxury vacation residential, and replacement work on contemporary homes where the hidden-hinge upgrade is part of the scope.
