MB-79N SI

MB-79N SI is Aluprof’s mid-premium thermally-broken aluminum tilt-turn window system at 70 mm build depth, using extruded aluminum profiles with a 3-chamber thermal break, polyamide thermal break strips, and insulating foam chamber inserts to achieve Uw = 0.81 W/(m²K) with standard double-pane glazing.

The thermal break follows the same multi-chamber philosophy as the MB-86N SI flagship, with insulating chamber inserts breaking the conduction path between the interior and exterior aluminum halves. The 70 mm depth is slimmer than the MB-86N SI (77 mm), giving a slightly higher Uw at the same chamber count and insert configuration.

The signature feature is the two-component central gasket, bonding foamed EPDM (sealing face) with solid EPDM (backing) into a single composite profile — the forgiving sealing of foamed EPDM under wind pressure and sash deflection combined with the long-term compression-set durability of solid EPDM, optimized for the 70 mm thermal break geometry. Thermal performance of Uw = 0.81 W/(m²K) is achieved with the standard double-pane argon IGU at Ug = 1.1; upgrading to a triple-pane double-chamber IGU at Ug = 0.5 reduces the Uw to approximately 0.64.

Hardware is MACO MULTI-MATIC KS with 2 anti-burglary engagement points and Silber-Look coating, sash lifter, and microventilation. The model does not natively support the Aluprof Smart Home electronic handle platform; projects requiring it should specify MB-86N SI. Color options include over 200 RAL colors in matte and gloss powder coat, anodized finishes for coastal applications, and wood-grain decorative coatings on selected colors; standard finish is RAL 9016 white matte or RAL 7016 anthracite matte.

Operation types include tilt-turn, fixed, tilt-only, side-hung, top-hung, and hidden hinge variants; custom shapes supported. Structural span capability exceeds standard PVC tilt-turn systems, appropriate for medium-to-large glass openings. Application range is premium residential new build and renovation, modern multi-family, and commercial fit-outs across the Northeast — particularly where MB-86N SI would be the natural spec but the budget or scope favors the slimmer 70 mm depth and standard hardware.
