Full technical detail
IGLO EDGE is the top thermal-performance PVC tilt-turn window in the IGLO product family, built on a 7-chamber Class A extruded PVC profile (EN 12608) at 82 mm build depth. The combined visible height of frame and sash is 114 mm — significantly slimmer than typical 5-chamber PVC tilt-turn windows in the same depth class.
The Uw = 0.66 W/(m²K) is achieved through the 7-chamber frame geometry, the standard double-chamber triple-pane IGU at Ug = 0.5 W/(m²K), the Swisspacer Ultimate warm-edge spacer, and the triple EPDM gasket system. The central gasket creates a separated air chamber between the perimeter seals, reducing the convective heat transfer path through the sealing interface.
Acoustic insulation ranges from 36 dB to 47 dB depending on the glazing package. The 47 dB rating uses an asymmetric laminated acoustic package, appropriate for arterial roads, rail corridors, and urban infill.
Standard hardware is MACO MULTI-MATIC KS with Silber-Look anti-corrosion coating, 4 anti-burglary engagement points, and a sash position blocker. The DUBLIN aluminum handle is standard, with Smart Home compatible electronic handle upgrades available.
Colour options include three factory-standard PVC colours plus the full Renolit foil range for wood-grain finishes and custom RAL matching. Interior and exterior faces can be specified in different colours — white interior with anthracite exterior is common on modern Northeast US projects.
The system suits residential new build, replacement, multi-family, and light commercial across the Northeast US climate envelope. NFRC-equivalent thermal data is available for code compliance submission.
