The Process in Five Steps

A clear path from napkin sketch to final walk.

1

First Contact

1 business day reply

Send us drawings, a window schedule, or a sketch on a napkin. Email, phone, or web form. We respond within 1 business day — usually faster. The first reply isn’t a quote; it’s a quick read on the project: what product family makes sense, the typical lead time, and any obvious spec issues.

What to send to start

  • A rough description (new build, multi-family, replacement, commercial fit-out)
  • Approximate window or door count
  • Drawings if you have them — a floor plan, elevation, or photo of the opening
  • Any product preferences or constraints you already know about

Not sure what’s a “good” amount of information? Send what you have. We’ll ask for the rest.

2

Scope Confirmation

15–30 min conversation

A 15 to 30 minute conversation by phone or in person at the showroom. The goal is to confirm we’re working on the right scope — technical but practical. We’re not trying to upsell; we’re making sure the quote that arrives in 5 business days is actually useful to you.

What gets confirmed

  • Product family (PVC, aluminum, wood, wood-clad, or mixed) and specific models
  • Color and finish direction
  • Glazing (standard, acoustic, security, specialty) & hardware preferences
  • Install scope and a rough budget range
3

The Quote

5 business days

Itemized quote, line-by-line, every opening priced. Spec sheets for every product attached. Lead time committed in writing. Install scope and responsibilities documented.

What’s in the quote

  • Each opening: rough dimensions, model, color, finish, glazing, hardware, unit price
  • Subtotals by category, install line items, and delivery
  • Lead time in calendar weeks from PO confirmation
  • Payment terms (typ. 50% PO / 40% production complete / 10% install) & 30-day validity

One or two rounds of revision is normal. We don’t charge for revisions.

4

Production & Delivery

8–18 weeks by family

Once the PO is signed and the deposit lands, the order goes to production. Custom finishes, decorative glazing, oversized slabs, and concealed hardware can add 1 to 4 weeks.

Lead times by product family

PVC windows — IGLO, IDEAL NEO 8–14 wk
Aluminum windows — MB-series 12–16 wk
Wood windows — SOFTLINE 12–16 wk
Wood-aluminum — DUOLINE 14–18 wk
PVC entry doors — IGLO 8–14 wk
Aluminum doors — D-ART, PIVOT 10–16 wk
Wood entry doors — SOFTLINE 12–16 wk
Fire-rated aluminum — MB-78EI 14–18 wk

Installation & Final Walk

Our crews, NJ·NY·PA·CT

Broadway Supply runs install crews across NJ, NY, PA, and CT. We install the windows and doors ourselves on most projects. On larger projects with a GC running the install, we coordinate with the GC and provide technical support to the crew.

Install scope

  • Removal of existing units on replacement work
  • Installation per manufacturer instructions
  • Perimeter waterproofing & flashing per wall assembly
  • Hardware adjustment, operation confirmation & final clean

After install

  • Walk-through to confirm every opening operates correctly
  • Punch list completed within 2 weeks of the walk
  • Final invoice issued, final payment due
  • Warranty documentation delivered

Lead Times

How we commit them.

Every quote includes a lead time in calendar weeks, committed in writing. If the manufacturer’s actual lead time changes after the PO is signed, we tell you within 1 business day of finding out. We don’t sit on bad news — we work the issue with you.

We don’t quote “8 to 10 weeks” and then deliver in 18. The committed week is the actual week. If we miss it, it’s our problem to solve — not yours to absorb.

Single Point of Contact

One PM, quote to install.

The same person you talked to in Step 2 answers the phone at delivery in Step 4. The PM owns the scope and spec, the schedule and lead time, shop drawings, delivery, install, and the punch list.

No phone tree No “let me transfer you” No “different department”

If you have a question at any point, the PM is the answer.

FAQ

Common questions

How long is a typical project from first contact to install complete?

For single-family replacement work with 10 to 30 windows: 14 to 22 weeks total — about 1 to 2 weeks for the scope conversation and quote, 8 to 16 weeks for production, and 1 to 2 weeks for install and punch list. Multi-family, commercial, and custom mixed-family builds run longer due to shop drawings and larger production runs.

Can you match an existing window color or finish?

Yes. Across most product families we can match custom RAL colors, Renolit wood-grain foils, and standard residential colors. Custom matches may add 1 to 2 weeks to the lead time.

Do you work with our existing GC, or do you have to do the install?

Both. We have crews who can install start to finish, and we work with established GCs across the region who install our products. The choice is yours — the install scope is itemized in the quote either way.

What’s the warranty?

Manufacturer warranty on the frame, sash, glazing, and hardware. Workmanship warranty on the install when Broadway Supply does the work. Specific terms are in the warranty documentation delivered at install complete.
